Jack R H O'Sullivan is an award-winning neurodivergent independent filmmaker based in London, United Kingdom. Born on December 22, 1995, he was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, Autism, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. His neurodiversity has significantly influenced his filmmaking approach, allowing him to bring fresh perspectives to the industry. Jack's passion for filmmaking began early in his life. He started experimenting with his family's Video8mm camcorder, creating home movies with family and friends as a way to cope with the challenges of childhood and bullying. This early interest led him to study movie production at the University of the Arts, London, where he received professional training in the industry. Over the years, Jack has directed fourteen short films, four of which have achieved success at film festivals. He founded Movie Making Media, an inclusive production company focused on online films, aiming to tell stories that are often overlooked by mainstream media and educational institutions. His semi-autobiographical drama short, 'Tourettes & I,' has been recognised with multiple awards. In addition to his earlier works, Jack released 'The Projectionist,' a mental health-themed short drama that serves as a love letter to cinema. He is currently working on 'Teardrops of A Clown,' a drama that challenges stereotypes and raises awareness about autism and clowns. This project features Leo Long, known for his role in the Netflix original film 'I Used to be Famous' and will release online on April 2nd (World Autism Awareness Day). Through his films, Jack aims to create inclusive and neurodivergent narratives, fostering greater understanding and empathy within the film industry and society at large.
