No trailers, no stills beyond these two cryptic backdrops, no director attached, no confirmed release date beyond the vague promise of 2026.
Just a title, a cast list, and the faint hum of anticipation from a corner of the internet where Thai cinema is quietly having a moment.
What does it mean to review a film that isn’t here? To write about the idea of it, the weight of its absence, the way its very silence feels like a provocation? Man of Virtue isn’t just a show we’re waiting for—it’s a test of how we talk about art before it arrives. Do we fill the void with speculation, or do we sit with the uncertainty and let it sharpen our curiosity?
The first thing that strikes me is the title. Man of Virtue. Off Chanapol Sataya and PP Phatchaya Phiansamoe had never shared a Channel 7 lead. Manager Online and TV Digital Watch both sold that as the booking. Tide Ekkapun Bunluerit plays Luang Pho Suea. The same credits name him Police Corporal Phadet. The monk is also a cop. ,
Colosseum Inter Group produced. Story credit goes to Mr. K. Nattaphol Ketboonchoo wrote the teleplay. Bin Bunluerit and Chatchawan Khlongchang directed. PP told the press this was her first job with Top Bin. She had already worked with Jo, the co-director. She also said Tide once played her father on Chat Lamchi. Now he wears saffron. ,
Chanapol described two characters in one body. "I have two characters. I am a police officer named Chansuek, but I have an accident on duty, my memory disappears, then I meet Luang Pho Suea, who names me Boonrod." He said Boonrod carries comedy, which is new for him. He usually plays action and drama. PP called Off one of the channel's action kings and said she worried she would slow the set. He kept coaching her.
The diamond is 300 million baht. The dog has a screen credit.
TrueID's first-episode synopsis puts Police Lieutenant Chansuek on a pink diamond worth 300 million baht, stolen from socialite Yok. He goes undercover in Mae Hong Son as a man working for village chief Sawaeng. A commando raid goes wrong. The getaway car rolls in the forest. Two of Sawaeng's men die. Chansuek and Sakol vanish with the stone. Luang Pho Suea is camped near the mountain village with a child spirit named Tofu. He pulls the unconscious cop from the water and names him Boonrod.
Noona, a former cop now on an insurance job, arrives because the insurer thinks Yok staged the theft. She has CCTV of Chansuek and Sakol. She meets the monk's party in the woods and pretends to be a student studying insects. Captain Kan's old girlfriend, reporter Saranya, tails the secret police unit.
MGR's cast list gives a dog named Plaennnai, Change Master, as Luang Pho's dog. PP asked viewers to watch for him. A child actor, Benjamin Casper, is credited as Tofu. That is a ghost child walking with the monk. The show is still sold as 13+. ,

MyDramaList files 30 episodes at 52 minutes, Monday through Friday, 3 August to 11 September 2026. TMDB also files 30 episodes and a 31 July 2026 premiere, with episode 30 dated 9 September. Nanitalk, writing after the Netflix drop, dates Netflix to 31 July and Channel 7 to 3 August. Channel 7's own press said Friday 31 July at 19:00. Those dates do not match.
