Biography

Kevin Pereira is an American television host, comedian, producer, and entrepreneur, best known for co-hosting the technology and pop culture program Attack of the Show! on G4 from 2005 to 2012. Born Kevin Elder Pereira on December 28, 1982, in San Leandro, California, and raised in Antioch, he developed an early interest in media, launching a gaming and internet culture-focused radio show called Pointless Audio at age 14 under the pseudonym Captain Immy, which featured prank calls and was syndicated on gaming websites. After studying film and television production at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco on a scholarship, Pereira worked as a network administrator at an internet service provider and in television production before breaking into on-air hosting. Pereira joined G4 as a co-host on The Screen Savers in late 2004, transitioning to the newly created Attack of the Show!, where he served as co-host with Olivia Munn and others, producing over 1,500 hours of live content focused on gadgets, gaming, and digital culture. He also hosted or co-hosted other G4 programs like Arena and Large Dangerous Rocket Ships, establishing himself as a key figure in the network's early success before its 2012 cancellation. Following G4's initial shutdown, Pereira expanded into game shows, hosting Let's Ask America on Game Show Network from 2015 to 2016, and hosted Hack My Life on truTV from 2015 to 2018. As a stand-up comedian and writer, Pereira has performed live and incorporated humor into his hosting style, often drawing on pop culture and technology themes. In 2021, he returned to the revived G4 network, reprising roles on Attack of the Show! and other segments alongside Adam Sessler until the network's closure on November 9, 2022. More recently, Pereira co-founded the AI-driven game platform And Then in 2025 with producer Gavin Purcell, focusing on interactive audio experiences for gaming and entertainment. He continues to produce podcasts like Pointless with Kevin Pereira, discussing innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital media.
