Nataliya Volodymyrivna Polishchuk was born on April 6, 1962, in Vinnytsia. She graduated from high school in 1979, after which she worked for a year in the kindergarten she herself attended as a child, and for a year in the garment factory where Nataliya's mother worked. In 1981, she entered the I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv State Institute of Theatre Arts. As Nataliya herself said, this was a "triumph" and a surprise to some, as few believed that a girl from a working-class family with no connections could enroll in drama school. She studied in the workshop of People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR Anatoliy Heorhiyovych Reshetnykov in the theater and film acting department. The actress began acting in films in her second year. She graduated from the institute in 1985. In 1986, Nataliya was invited to work at the O. Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio, where she was a leading actress for a long time. Early in her career, she tried working at the Theater-Studio of the Film Actor at the O. Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio, but it never got beyond rehearsals, as the actress was initially required to film and tour, as those were the rules. Since 1996, she has worked extensively as a voice actress at the 1+1 Studio, where she worked for about 10 years. In 2003, Nataliya quit her job at the O. Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio because of the film crisis of the 1990s and early 2000s, and almost nothing was being made. That same year, she left her voiceover work for the TONIS TV channel, after which, at the invitation of Tak Treba Production, she joined their team and officially became a voice actress and dubbing artist. In 2018, she also became a voiceover director. She continues to collaborate with the studio to this day. As of 2026, Nataliya is actively working in the fields of voiceover and dubbing. She has worked at nearly all Ukrainian recording studios, including Le Doyen, POSTMODERN, AAASound, and others. She is a leading actress at these studios. Her filmography includes over 3,000 voiceover and dubbing credits. Nataliya has provided the Ukrainian voice for Renée Zellweger, Cate Blanchett, Julie Walters, and others. Her father, Volodymyr Maksymovych Polishchuk (1934—2006), worked at various times as a lathe operator, a sailor, and a trolleybus driver. Her mother, Olha Volodymyrivna Polishchuk (1937—2010), worked her entire life in a garment factory. Nataliya has a younger sister, Oksana. Divorced. On good terms with her ex-husband. Daughter: Veronika Petlovana (married name: Posokhova; born April 15, 1988); she is a translator by training. Nataliya has three grandchildren: Mykyta, Illya and Luka.
