Soviet Russian circus artist (balancer, acrobat, clown). Honored Artist of the Belarusian SSR (1954). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (10/15/1958). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1963). People's Artist of the USSR (1969). Hero of Socialist Labor (12/20/1979). In 1928, he began working in the circus (gymnast on the rings, then the leader and participant in the group acrobatic number “4-ZhAK”, since 1937 he also acted as a White Clown). In 1930-1941, and since 1945, he performed in circus chapitos of Minsk, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Gomel and other cities of Belarus. In 1950, he created a unique number - balancers on a double staircase, performed record tricks with partners. He performed unique numbers: balancing a 9-meter staircase, on which his partners demonstrated a series of gymnastic and acrobatic tricks; similar number with persh; “Stairs on the stairs” - lying on top of a foot ladder balanced by Milayev, his partner balanced the second ladder, on which the other partner performed gymnastic tricks. The group, led by Milayev, has toured abroad: in China, Sweden, the UK, France, Poland, East Germany, Japan, Italy, Australia and Czechoslovakia. In 1959-1960, the artistic director of the Belarusian circus collective. Member of the CPSU since 1952. In 1978-1983 - artistic director and director of the Moscow Circus on the Lenin Hills (now the Big Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue). Passed away on April 7, 1983 in Moscow. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.
