Pitfall

It is quite difficult to innovate on a genre as established as slashers and lost in the woods. But this movie makes an attempt and does not make a fool out of itself by trying. The characters are distinct enough for you to engage with. The scares are good, the antagonist is scary and the cast do a fine job at portraying the desperation of their situation. It isn't groundbreaking, but it certainly isn't bad.
