The V/H/S franchise of films are often fun, often in bad taste but typically don't cross the line into ugly and cruel, until now. The latest iteration to my mind, goes too far depicting the actions of a child serial killer, in a manner that I found troubling and deeply off putting. Or put another way, downright awful. In summary, if this is the direction V/H/S want to go in, Ill be staying away in future. A hard pass from me.
Read full reviewBe prepared for a gore-a-thon of mayhem with this latest installment into the V/H/S family tree of terrifying tales. Intro is a poor fool and a trial of some sort that goes horribly horribly wrong for him. Next we've got tricks or treats Time for one and all, but seems like they're more tricks than treats this year, so you better watch out for "The Mommy" boys and girls, pssst "Coochie Coo." Freaking disturbing is an obvious understatement with this segment, be prepared. Our Halloween party goes awry, and we end up with a serious problem on our hands that needs to be reenacted as best as possible. Remember only take one candy when trick or treating folks, no really... Fun Size...
Read full reviewIt's gory, and becomes so !@#$ing boring that I skipped through at least a third of it. The final entry, "Dr. Mortis" was probably the best. The rest of it is stupid people doing stupid !@#$. Now I remember why I stopped watching "V/H/S". Horror is a genre chock-full of way too much crap.
