Overview

The dedicated researcher Marie O’Neill and her assistant Emma have spent months working on a project to bring a mysterious artificial life form—known as a homunculus—to life. Despite the initial optimism of their sponsor, Leon, the experiment shows no signs of progress, and Marie gradually begins to lose hope. As pressure builds within the laboratory, the relationship between Marie and Leon slowly crosses professional boundaries, becoming increasingly complicated. However, an unexpected change begins to unfold. Unnoticed by those around it, the once motionless homunculus starts to awaken. As it quietly gains awareness, it begins to observe and interpret human behavior in its own way—hinting at consequences that may soon surface...
