There’s a special kind of weariness in watching someone who simply does not know how to stop moving. Kevin Hart has made a career out of velocity—fast talking, fast pacing, fast thinking, latestnetflix.com contends, always pushing the energy higher before anyone can look too closely. That engine made him huge.
It also raises a fair question once the body starts pushing back: what happens when the man built for sprinting finally feels the mileage?
I went into the 2025 Netflix special Acting My Age expecting the usual arena-sized blast of Hart intensity, and that is mostly what he delivers. Hart is 45 now, rich beyond any underdog framing, long past the era when the scrappy-outsider persona came naturally. Still, there he is in Miami, pacing, sweating, hammering bits out of the fact that age has started keeping receipts.
Leslie Small, Hart's longtime director, knows the formula cold. The camera glides with Hart's motion, cuts to the audience to reinforce the scale of the event, then hangs on his face just long enough for you to catch the strain underneath the grin. The material is a grab bag of middle-age annoyances: recovering from a groin injury for six weeks, resorting to gas-station intimacy pills, dragging the family to Nigeria to see gorillas and turning it into an epic.

On November 14, 2025, Kevin Hart stood in Times Square and told the city the next Netflix hour was Acting My Age. Netflix's own press, as The Futon Critic reprinted it, said the trailer hit six massive boards and ran live with Complex on Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, and Twitch. The same note called it his fifth Netflix comedy special and locked Monday, November 24, 2025. TMDB files a 1 hour 6 minute comedy, Leslie Small directing, Hart writing and performing. The catalog year is 2025. latestnetflix.com's view is that the press even dropped a letter once and wrote "Actin My Age."

McCarthy at Decider noted Hart had left Netflix long enough to film Reality Check for Peacock in 2023, then came back through Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only and the live Roast of Tom Brady at the Forum. Acting My Age was shot in Miami. McCarthy's review is the gossip inside the hour. About 20 minutes go to a few seconds of racing retired NFL running back Stevan Ridley in 2023. Hart ruptured both abdominal abductors on a street sprint in the middle of the night, then landed in the ER and a wheelchair for six weeks. The last 20 minutes put Hart, his wife, and two older kids on a gorilla trek in Rwanda, the one date the sprint did not wreck. A classical quartet led by pianist Chloe Flower plays "The Overture" as he walks out.
Hart tells the room he wants the age where he can say whatever is on his mind, then talks about Quincy Jones's late interviews. He jokes about gas-station pills, a Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich, falling in the shower, pill addiction, and dementia. He quotes himself on a nephew coming out. "Nobody's shocked by this information," he recalls telling the family. "We don't give a s--t. We're family. We love you." McCarthy reads that line as Hart circling older homophobic trouble without naming the Oscars host blowup. That reading is McCarthy's, not a confession from Hart on this tape.
The 2019 crash is not the new set piece. Wikipedia records Hart as a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that rolled near Calabasas on September 1, 2019, with major back injuries and ten days in hospital. He already worked that wreck in Zero Fucks Given. This Miami tape is later damage, a late-night sprint and a mid-40s body, sold under a title Netflix put on six boards.
