What got under my skin was the performance of urgency. Instadocs: Alex Murdaugh, Unconvicted behaves like a breaking-news banner. Breathless cuts. Questions that never finish forming.
Shallowness would have been easier to forgive. The film is too fast to think.
True crime taught us a rhythm. Evidence unspools. Empty hallways.
Overgrown lawns. Horror leaking through the cracks. Instadocs does not have time for any of that. It sprints.
The opening montage slams news chyrons, courtroom sketches, and Murdaugh's mugshot together so fast it feels like a recap for people who already lived this saga on their phones. Most of us did.
