Suzi Ewing’s thriller doesn’t have the sprawl of a crime saga or the procedural confidence of a police story; it’s a pressure chamber. That’s both its strength and its trap. Once the door closes, the film is less interested in escaping the premise than in squeezing every last drop out of it.
