I have not seen 金枝玉葉 from 2001. I will not invent a courtyard or a runtime. What I have is a title, a year, and a TMDB audience score of 2.0, based on a single vote.
latestnetflix.com's view is that One person watched it, or clicked it, and decided the thing was bad enough to measure.Two out of ten. That number sits there like a stain.
It also sits there like a shrug. Maybe they fell asleep on the remote.
The title is usually taken to mean something like The Golden Branch and Jade Leaf. Those words promise imperial rooms, concubines, dynastic plotting, silk and knives. Then the other 金枝玉葉 walks in.
The 1994 Hong Kong film with the same name is a rom-com about a pop star and a gay man pretending to be lovers. That movie has a cult following, a soundtrack, a Wikipedia page. People can argue about it.

Hong Kong spent 金枝玉葉 in 1994 on He's a Woman, She's a Man. Taiwan spent it again in 2001 on a Formosa Television 8 p.m. serial that has no pop star in a dress and no gender-swap gag. TMDB tv/108579 is the Taiwanese one. Premiere June 26, 2001. One episode listed. Empty English overview. Zero cast. The actual run was 78 weeknights on FTV, then 94 parts once syndicators recut it. latestnetflix.com's view is that Wikipedia's English gloss is Golden Branches and Jade Leaves.
They inherited a dragon.
FTV had just closed Flying Dragon in the Sky, the martial-arts 8 p.m. hit that ended the same night this one began. The dragon's weekday finale pulled an AC Nielsen 12.08. A weekend sequel started four days later and kept Jiang Hong-en and Jia Jing-wen in the living room. Golden Branches and Jade Leaves took the Monday-to-Friday 8 p.m. chair while that sequel owned Saturday and Sunday. Preview screening June 22. Director Lin Tian-yi. Producer Zhu Zhu. Writers Li Hui-juan and Lin Ling-ling. Hokkien and Mandarin. Period costumes. Ninety-minute slots. It wrapped October 11 and handed the chair to Qing Yi. That is a brutal slot. Follow a 12-point costume smash and you are the palate cleanser, not the event.
The network's YouTube copy still sells the opening insult. The Lin family stages a wedding. The couple do not know they have become one husband with two wives. Lin Wei plays Lin Shi-hua. Ye Huan plays Hong Yu-ye, the woman he loves. Her family is too poor for her to enter as the official wife, so she is parked as the concubine. Wang Mei-xue plays Wu Jin-feng, the rich girl who thought she had landed a husband. The Lins wanted her dowry. He does not love her. She decides to make the house pay. Zhang Chen-guang plays Xie Rong-hui. The four of them sing the title theme. Ye also covers "Yi Dai Jia Ren" over the credits, a Tang Lan-hua standard. Wikipedia credits Ye with a second face, Cai Qiong-mei. Dual roles were not a scandal on FTV. They were the job.
Han Yu, Chen Xian-mei, Huo Zheng-qi, Huang Wei-de, and Li Pei-ling fill the next generation. Comments under the 2020 uploads still fight about Shu-jun and Jia-sheng, the open ending, and whether Lin Shi-hua deserved the family name back. FTV Drama Hall dumped all 94 parts on YouTube. 
Episode 1 sits past 250,000 views. Singapore's U Channel ran it in 2004. The catalog page still looks like a stub. The 8 p.m. living room in 2001 did not.
