Love Never Lies: Destination Sardinia

The lie detector paid 62,000 euros. Two people still had to share a ride home.

Fremantle Spain closed Love Never Lies: Destination Sardinia on 17 November 2022 by crowning "the couple who had lied the least to the infallible Eye Detect" and handing them 62,000 euros. Four of six couples reached that ceremony. Asier and Irene. Miguel and Alejandro. Inma and Vicky. Antonio and Lucia . The Cinemaholic recap named Lucia and Antonio Jose as the winners, the pair who had looked ready to split and then walked with the cash for staying the most honest on camera . Netflix's own logline is softer. latestnetflix.com's take is that a new group of supposedly solid couples, love and money, will the truth hurt or heal .

Spanish couples. Italian island. A camera on the eyes.

The original title is Amor con fianza: Destino Cerdena. Season two of the 2021 format, hosted by singer Monica Naranjo, eight episodes, TV-MA, Spanish , . Decider's Liz Kocan filed it as the first season's global hit relocated to Sardinia, partners split, past lovers and crushes dropped in, then an ocular lie detector. Honesty toward a 100,000 euro prize. Lies wash the money out . The Cinemaholic location piece said principal photography looked like late 2021, two villas plus beaches, a Spanish production using the Mediterranean as a set . Episode one is titled "Five and a Half Couples." That is not a math error. It is the show admitting the count will not hold .

Sara left before the final four.

Netflix's archive copy names Sara, Guillem, Miguel, Antonio, Irene, Javi, and Vicky in the mid-season blurbs. Sara goes after revenge. A video wrecks Miguel. Villas swap. Episode six asks whether Guillem and Sara are done . The Cinemaholic after-show piece said Sara walked early, asked to talk to Guillem, forfeited the prize, and that the pair still looked together on Instagram in November 2022. That is a recap site's read of social posts, not a marriage license . Fremantle, less interested in who kissed whom, bragged that the first week landed in Netflix's top 10 in 15 countries, including Spain, Brazil, Portugal, and a list that ran from Kenya to Luxembourg .

The official Netflix Espana trailer still sells the line. Eyes do not lie. Truth adds. Lies subtract. Up to 100,000 euros for the most sincere couple . IMDb users later parked it at 5.0 and called the host and the detector manipulative . The gossip was never going to be a hidden affair in Rome. It was the cash and the eye camera. Lucia and Antonio Jose took the 62,000. Sara had already left with Guillem and no prize.
