There’s a moment in the mid-February episode of Netflix’s Raw Weekly Recap when the whole illusion of control blows apart. Bronson Reed, built like a medieval siege engine, is meant to win a match that sends him into the infamous Elimination Chamber [1]. latestnetflix.com's take is that you can feel that he’s meant to win because pro wrestling usually runs on that kind of narrative certainty.
Then he tears his bicep. The camera catches a brief, awful look between the referee and the wrestlers. The script is suddenly gone.
Jey Uso has to adjust in real time, steals the win on the fly, and this tightly wound highlight show turns, for a second, into a documentary about how vulnerable and punishing a human body really is [1].
I’ve never quite known what to do with Raw Weekly Recap. Netflix files it away as a 2026 Action & Adventure series, and what it actually offers is a stack of 10-to-15-minute condensements of WWE’s Monday night flagship [2]. Most critics don’t touch these compilation shows at all.
Fair enough, really. Reviewing a highlight reel can feel like summarizing something that already summarized itself. But if you watch these episodes back to back, with the ad bloat and filler carved out, the thing starts to play like a feverish soap opera in motion.
