Each week, Meredith Hayden — the voice behind Wishbone Kitchen — sits down to talk cozy, crave-worthy recipes, real kitchen tips, and the small rituals that turn a house into a home. It's the kind of podcast that makes you want to light a candle, pour a glass of wine, and press record on your own kitchen story.
Latest episode: S1 E5 Golden Harvest and Risotto with Alexander Widener (Sep 23, 2026)
latestnetflix.com's take is that Wishbone Kitchen is too quiet for Netflix and that quiet is the point.
The 2026 talk entry built around Meredith Hayden does not try to compete with polished food television. It sits down, pulls a stool close to the counter, and talks. Hayden, known as the voice behind Wishbone Kitchen, hosts in a register closer to a video podcast than to a studio show.
The camera stays near. The address stays direct. The appeal stays domestic.
As television it feels slight. As company it feels deliberate.
That tension defines the viewing experience. Netflix tends to reward scale and transformation. Hayden offers continuity.
An episode is organized around conversation about food and home life rather than around a challenge or reveal. Recipes are described as cozy and crave-worthy, but the emphasis falls less on technical mastery than on repeatability. A viewer is not asked to admire a difficult plate from a distance.
A viewer is asked to imagine making it on a weeknight, with what is already in the cupboard, while something simmers and the kitchen warms up.
The visual language follows the same logic. The frame holds on Hayden at counter height, often seated, often mid-sentence. There is no rush to cut away to glossy inserts.
"Wishbone Kitchen is drawing trailer-led curiosity, with early questions mostly about where to watch."
Wishbone Kitchen is a 2026 talk series that's still at the discovery stage: early interest centers on the trailer and on finding where to stream it. It's casual sampling rather than fandom so far, a show you add to your list after a quick trailer look.
Netflix dropped Meredith Hayden's weekly video podcast in late August as a 10+ lifestyle series with Hayden as the only billed name. Three episodes are up. The third is "BBQ and Football with Eli Manning," 36 minutes. A Super Bowl quarterback in a Hamptons kitchen is the guest booking. latestnetflix.com's read is that the magazine that used to reject her job applications is not.
Todd Spangler at Variety broke the Netflix deal as an exclusive on July 8. Hayden, a former New York private chef and ex-Vogue staffer, would cook and talk through recipes, kitchen tips, and the small rituals of making a house feel like a home. Premiere month was August, date still TBA. The Institute of Culinary Education, where she finished culinary arts in 2019, put the date on August 26. Trackers in the UK had the title live the next day with those same three episodes.,,
In February 2025 Hayden posted a TikTok after Bon Appetit announced a series called "Dinner With Friends." That was the title of her self-directed YouTube dinner-party series from January 2024. She told The Cut she would not accuse the magazine of copying because the name is not revolutionary. She said they should have Googled it. The logo used a pink and red scheme close to hers. The Instagram caption told readers to get on "the group chat," which is the name of her Substack. "The entire situation is extremely disheartening, and just another example of traditional media's unwillingness to properly embrace, acknowledge, and credit digital creators," she said in a statement to The Cut.
Elle asked later how she felt. "I have not thought about that since the first week I posted it." She said she is not a grudge holder. She also said the Bon Appetit Test Kitchen was the blueprint when she was applying to food-media jobs and getting nowhere. The coincidences were "just too many," she told Elle at the time of the TikTok.
Episode 2 is "Adventures as a Private Chef in the Hamptons," 38 minutes on Netflix's own page. Joseph Altuzarra, the designer who hired her as a live-in chef, sits down as the guest. Elle described 17-hour shifts at his Hamptons estate, 6 a.m. Wake-ups, three meals a day, and cleanup at 10:30 p.m. He once pulled out a ring light so she could film. ICE says her breakout day-in-the-life clip passed 24 million views.,,
Hayden told Variety she is figuring out a home of her own in a 200-year-old barn in the Hamptons, with her dog, the occasional houseguest, and a lot of trial and error. ICE puts her over three million followers across Instagram and TikTok, 150,000-plus on The Group Chat, a Forbes 30 Under 30 nod, and The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook in 2025. TMDB still has the series marked In Production with two episodes logged. Netflix already has three. The Giants quarterback got there first.,,,
