I’ve always been drawn to stories about people who move in ways the rest of us can’t—dancers, gymnasts, skaters. There’s something hypnotic about watching a body defy gravity, even for a moment. But Spinning Out isn’t really about the beauty of figure skating.
It’s about the cost of it. The way ambition can carve you hollow if you let it, the way family can be both a safety net and a trap, and the quiet, creeping terror of realizing your mind might not be as reliable as your triple axel.
