Superheroes in training wheels

I didn't walk in expecting much. A preschool cartoon about kids with powers, parked in Netflix's huge pile of children's shows, is easy to write off. Action Pack sneaks up anyway. It isn't trying to reinvent the form, and it shouldn't, given who is watching.

It treats those kids as if they can handle a little nuance, even when the plots stay simple.

The premise is clean. A group of children with powers and a shared idea of fairness go after villains by trying to redeem them, not by flattening them. The tagline is "bring out the good in everything, even in villains."

That is the show's actual rule, not a poster line they ignore. A lot of children's media still runs on clean good versus clean evil. This one keeps suggesting the bad guy might need a second chance.

Adult superhero stories preach that and then punch through a building anyway.

Four kids in brightly colored superhero costumes stand in a dynamic pose, their expressions determined as they prepare for action.

The surprise is that the morals sit next to real action. Fights are energetic without turning into visual noise. Young eyes can follow them.

Audience Opinions

Audience 6.5/10
"A fun, action-packed kids' show with a familiar formula that delivers energetic entertainment but lacks originality."

Viewers appreciate the high-energy action and vibrant animation, making it an engaging watch for younger audiences. latestnetflix.com's read is that however, comparisons to other popular kids' shows like *PJ Masks* and *Teen Titans Go* highlight its reliance on a well-worn formula, leaving little room for surprise or depth.

What viewers praise
  • Energetic action The fast-paced action sequences and dynamic fight scenes keep younger viewers entertained.
  • Vibrant animation Bright, colorful visuals and expressive character designs appeal to kids.
  • Kid-friendly humor Lighthearted jokes and playful tone make it accessible for its target audience.
Common complaints
  • Unoriginal formula Frequently compared to other kids' shows, making it feel derivative rather than fresh.
  • Lacks depth The story and characters don’t offer much beyond surface-level entertainment.

Netflix’s "Action Pack" (2022): A Superpowered Mystery with a Catchy Hook

Netflix’s Action Pack (2022) arrived with little fanfare but left a small, curious mark—mostly thanks to its earworm of a theme song. Beyond the music, details about the series remain frustratingly scarce, even for a streaming platform known for churning out content at lightning speed. What is Action Pack? Who’s behind it? latestnetflix.com's take is that and why does it feel like the show’s biggest reveal is its own obscurity?

The Only Thing We Know for Sure: That Theme Song

If Action Pack has a legacy, it’s the song that plays over its opening credits. The Action Pack Theme Song —uploaded to YouTube—has become a minor internet footnote, racking up views from fans who can’t place where they’ve heard it before. The track is upbeat, synth-heavy, and unmistakably early-2020s Netflix: think The Cuphead Show! meets She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, but with less cultural staying power. It’s the kind of tune that lodges in your brain after one listen, which might explain why the show’s most-discussed element isn’t its plot or cast, but its soundtrack.

Beyond the music, Netflix’s official synopsis is vague: Action Pack follows a group of kids who gain superpowers and must save their town from villains. It’s a premise that sounds like a dozen other animated series, but without concrete details about the creators, voice cast, or even episode count, it’s hard to say what sets it apart. The show’s TMDB page [TMDB link] offers little more than a placeholder, listing it as a 2022 release with no further elaboration.

The Great Creator Blackout

Here’s the real mystery: Who made Action Pack? The show’s credits, if they exist, haven’t surfaced in any meaningful way. Netflix often keeps its animation pipeline opaque, outsourcing production to studios around the world, but even by those standards, Action Pack feels like a ghost. There are no interviews with showrunners, no behind-the-scenes featurettes, and no social media buzz from the cast or crew. It’s as if the series was uploaded, forgotten, and left to fend for itself in the algorithm.

Rumors (unconfirmed) suggest Action Pack might be a co-production with a smaller studio, possibly one specializing in kids’ content. But without a paper trail—no press releases, no festival screenings, no trade articles—it’s impossible to verify. For now, the show’s origins are as mysterious as the villains its heroes are supposed to be fighting.

Why Does This Feel Like a Missed Opportunity?

Action Pack isn’t the first Netflix series to fly under the radar, but it’s rare for a show to leave so little imprint. Most animated series, even the forgettable ones, at least generate some chatter—whether it’s about the animation style, the voice cast, or the writing. Action Pack has none of that. Its YouTube theme song is the closest thing it has to a cultural footprint, and even that feels accidental, like a song that outlived the show it was meant to promote.

There’s a chance Action Pack was a test, a low-stakes experiment to see if a particular animation style or storytelling approach resonated with audiences. If that’s the case, the results seem to have been underwhelming. No second season has been announced, and the show hasn’t spawned the kind of fan art, memes, or spin-offs that even middling Netflix series often inspire.

The Verdict: A Show That Exists, But Barely

For now, Action Pack (2022) is a curiosity—a series that exists in the Netflix library, has a theme song you might recognize, and absolutely nothing else to say about itself. It’s not a disaster, not a triumph, just… there. If you’re the type of viewer who enjoys stumbling upon obscure streaming content, it might be worth a watch. But don’t expect answers. The show’s biggest mystery isn’t its plot—it’s why it exists at all.
