"Nine Puzzles" is a thinking man or woman's, crime thriller. There's a lot to unpack with this series. As a consequence you really need to pay attention. Even then, it can be hard to keep up with the ever changing landscape of suspects and events. You think you know what's going on and suddenly, the ground shifts. Its the evolving nature, of this rather intriguing tale, that keeps you watching. I will add that the "puzzling" complexity of "Nine Puzzles" can be viewed as its strength but also, in part, its weakness. At times, it fails to holds the narrative reins, so to speak, allowing things to get off course, making it difficult for the viewer to follow. It took this reviewer, real mental effort, on more than one occasion, to pick up the trail of clues and piece together, what was happening. In summary, a clever, at times quirky and complex crime thriller that would have worked better, with a tighter, more focused script. Nonetheless, most definitely, worth a look.
