Tag and her best friend Scooch love lending a paw to their friends around Pawston, whether it's delivering cookie boxes or hosting the Dogcathalon!
I did not plan to linger on Go, Dog. Go!. It is a preschool series built from a 60-year-old P.D. Eastman picture book, the sort of thing you start while eggs are on the stove. Then it refused to baby-talk. No wink at the grown-ups on the couch. No mush. It opens a door and waits.
The show turns the book into Pawston, a loud little city of dogs in every size. Tag is the bright-eyed lead. Scooch, her dachshund pal, has a skateboard and a talent for trouble.
Their problems are a stuck kite, a broken bridge, a missing tool. The stakes look tiny from the sofa. The feelings are not.
For a four-year-old, a lost toy is a crisis, and the series treats it that way without a smirk.
The color is loud, almost too loud, and still warm. Not the empty neon a lot of kids' TV pumps out. The dogs look a little lopsided, like a drawing taped to a fridge.
Backgrounds have enough clutter to feel lived in, not so much that a small kid drowns in the frame. The sound work is the sneaky part. A wheel squeak.

Netflix’s "Go, Dog. Go!" Revs Up with New Seasons and Behind-the-Scenes Buzz
Netflix’s animated reboot of Go, Dog. Go! (2021) has become a surprise hit with younger audiences, but what’s the story behind the show’s creation—and what’s next for the canine crew? latestnetflix.com's view is that while details about the series’ origins remain scarce, trailers and updates offer a peek into its production and cast dynamics.
A Fresh Take on a Classic
Based on P.D. Eastman’s 1961 children’s book, the 2021 adaptation transforms the original’s simple premise into a vibrant, episodic adventure. The series follows Tag Barker, a spirited young dog navigating life in Pawston with her friends and family. Unlike the book’s minimal plot, the Netflix version expands the world with new characters, gadgets, and slapstick humor—all while keeping the original’s playful spirit.
The show’s animation style blends bright, cartoonish visuals with fast-paced storytelling, appealing to preschoolers and early elementary viewers. Trailers tease a mix of whimsical inventions (think dog-powered helicopters) and lighthearted lessons about teamwork and curiosity.
Cast and Crew: Who’s Behind the Barks?
The voice cast includes Michela Luci as Tag Barker, Callum Shoniker as her brother Scooch, and a roster of veteran voice actors like Martin Roach and David Berni. While the series’ creators and directors remain uncredited in available sources, the cast’s chemistry shines in trailers, with energetic performances that match the show’s high-energy tone.
Notably, the series has rolled out multiple seasons, with Season 2’s trailer hinting at new adventures, including a "Pawston 500" race and a mysterious "Doggy Diner" subplot. A Dutch-language clip for Season 3 suggests the show’s international appeal, though no English trailer or release date has been confirmed.
What’s Next for Pawston?
Despite its popularity, Go, Dog. Go! has kept a low profile in terms of behind-the-scenes drama or production details. Rumors about future seasons or spin-offs are unconfirmed, but the show’s consistent updates—including new trailers and clips—hint at Netflix’s commitment to the franchise.
For now, fans can expect more of the same: zany inventions, pun-filled dialogue, and a whole lot of doggy chaos. Whether the series will expand beyond its current format remains to be seen, but its loyal audience isn’t barking for change just yet.
